USDA economist Keith Menzie says the U.S. is valued as one of the most reliable and high-quality suppliers of soy in the world, a trend he expects to continue over the next 20 years. Rising incomes in the developing world and increased demand for meat, which in turn creates increased demand for protein to feed animals, will increase demand over the coming years.
As this happens, the U.S. Soy Advantage in quality, sustainability and value will continue to add demand. The U.S. has set yield records for the last four years in a row and is obviously doing things right. Farmers’ commitment to continuous improvement will continue to fuel growth in the future.
