We are excited to Introduce our newest member of the NCSPA, Sydney Ivey! She will be joining our team as the Agriculture Communications intern. Sydney was born and raised in Fayetteville, N.C. She is currently a student at North Carolina State University studying Agricultural Business Management with minors in Science Communications, Environmental Science, and Entrepreneurship.
Sydney did not come from an agricultural background, but her passion for agriculture began with her involvement in her high school’s Future Farmers of America program. After being heavily involved and greatly impacted by the FFA, Sydney continued her studies at NC State (Go Pack!) and became involved in the Agricultural Communicators Program. She has found a passion for advocating for agriculture and educating people on the industry. Sydney loves all aspects of communications, she loves getting to work with farmers face to face, but also enjoys promoting the stories of farmers through media posts, articles, and conversation. She is eager to use her skills in communications and love for agriculture to bring new ideas to the NCSPA team.
Sydney enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors. She loves going to the beach, attending NC State Sporting events, and going to bible study. Sydney becomes friends with every dog she meets! She is an animal lover. When not at work, Sydney likes to spend time with the people she loves the most and enjoys traveling when she gets the chance.
