The N.C. State Fair was held Oct. 10-25, 2015, and as usual, the North Carolina Soybean Producers Association enjoyed being a part of it. This year, the NCSPA placed one of the educational exhibits created for use on agritourism farms in the Gotta Be N.C. tent near the Kerr Scott Building for fairgoers to learn from and interact with.
The exhibit was the same as those already at the agritourism farms, but it had a wider footprint to be more stable at the fair when not staked in the ground. It features educational panels about growing soybeans, how soybeans are used in animal feed, the benefits of keeping animals in indoor housing and about family farms in N.C., as well as two panels for photo ops, where kids and kids at heart could get their photo made as a farmer or farm animal.
The Gotta Be N.C. tent gets a constant stream of visitors from folks looking to sample N.C. products, and this year they were able to enjoy the NCSPA exhibit too.
