Members of the NCSPA board of directors, Michael McPherson and Reggie Strickland, Union County grower, Brett Medlin, and NCSPA CEO, Charles Hall, will accompany Commissioner of Agriculture, Steve Troxler and the NCDA&CS on a trade mission to China the week of April 13. Soybean business will include meetings with C&D Agricultural Products in Xiamen, Wens Group in Guangzhou and five other companies that are customers for containerized soybeans in Shanghai, as well as a visit to the Guangdong Entry-exit and Quarantine Bureau.
The trip promises to be fruitful in promoting high-quality North Carolina soybeans to Chinese customers, establishing relationships of those interested in containerized shipping, as well as collaborating with other N.C. agricultural partners participating in the trip, tobacco, pork and forestry products.
