Governor Cooper announced yesterday, that starting as early as today, March 3rd, Group 3 Frontline Essential Workers in NC are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
This includes those working in the ag industry such as: farm workers, meat packing workers, food processing workers, migrant farm/fishery workers, food distribution and supply chain workers, and restaurant workers.
Below is the full list from the Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) of those eligible to receive vaccines in Group 3 and you can also continue through this link for more information.
There are also several resources to help you find the closest vaccination site near you:
- NC’s Find Your Spot: an interactive mapping tool that helps you find locations near you that are administering COVID vaccinations. These locations include places like hospital networks, physicians’ offices, pharmacies, and local health departments.
- Local Health Departments: If you would like to find information from your local health department, you can find each of their websites and other contact information here
- A Community Vaccination Center is being put together at the Four Seasons Town Center in Greensboro. This site is expected to administer up to 3,000 vaccines a day, 7 days a week for 8 weeks starting 10 March 2021. Scheduling information has not been released yet, so monitor your local media and NC DHHS for more information.
