As the weather finally dries out and you continue with #plant18, our researchers are too! Each year, the NCSPA sponsors research projects throughout the state to investigate practices and products that will help increase your bottom line. In 2018, the N.C. soy checkoff is funding over 20 research projects and demonstrations that will help provide you with timely, relevant and useful tools to improve your yields. We partner with N.C. State University researchers, private crop consultants and county extension agents to make this work happen.
The map below indicates the counties where projects are located. Many of these include demonstrations specifically for growers, and we encourage you to visit one if possible. Contact a local extension agent or the NCSPA office to find the locations of local sites. In some areas, there will be local field days so stay tuned for information about field days from agents.
Topics include variety selection, nutrient management, soil health, cover crop practices, weed management and disease resistance. For a full list of projects funded see this page.
